Some plants are called carnivorous which means meat-eating. But don't worry. This doesn't mean that they will take a bite out of you! Carnivorous plants attract, capture, kill, and digest insects. A few types of these plants are big enough to trap frogs, mice and other small creatures too.

FUN FACT: Dionaea muscipula is the scientific name for a carnivorous plant called the Venus Flytrap.
