There are many precious resources on our planet. One of the most valuable is creativity. Everyone has it. Your creativity is an endless, renewable energy source! The more you use, the more you'll have!
Your creativity is very important in this contest. Think of one thing that could be done to help save the planet. It could be anything. It could help the air, water, plants or animals, or land. Maybe it is something you could do at school, like start a recycling program. Maybe it is something that the government or a big company could do, like build solar-powered cars.
Remember, every service, law, or project that is helping the earth right now began as an idea in someone's imagination. That means that even recycling began as an invisible thought in someone's mind. Wow! Now that's creativity!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- your creativity
- paper and pencil
- or -
a computer - crayons, markers
or colored pencils (optional) - drawing paper (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Write up your idea on paper or type it on your computer. You can draw pictures, if you would like.
- Once you've written up your idea, you can enter it in the Save The Planet Contest. You can send your idea by email or regular mail.
- All entries should be emailed or postmarked by May 1, 2000.
- If your parent or guardian would like a general overview of guidelines for EcoPals contest, they can find them at the EcoPals website. They are in the Contest Area under the Games & Fun Page.
- You can email it to stp_contest@ecopals.com. You may need to ask an adult to help you attach your file to your email message. Include your EcoPals nickname and your mailing address or your parent/guardian's email address.
This way the EcoPals team can contact you if you are a prize winner. Ask your parent/guardian's permission before entering. Your email entry should look like this:
