Fossil fuels are a nonrenewable energy source. There is only a limited amount of fossil fuels on the earth. That's why it is important to conserve electricity. Conserving helps cut down on the fossil fuels that need to be burned. Using less electricity also protects the environment by helping keep the air and water clean.
